Miracle Drugs!

Today I am so grateful for modern medicine! About 2 weeks ago I started in on the morning sickness faze of pregnancy, not fun. It started getting progressively worse everyday and last week I could hardly get out of bed. To spare you all from all of the details, let me just say that by Thursday of last week I was not keeping anything down. I had given into the fact that I would be sick for the next 7 months, like I was with Selina. I finally got into the doctor on Friday and was given some miracle prescriptions! I am feeling SO much better now, and more importantly, Selina has her Mom back. The medicine makes me a little drowsy, but it is amazing how much better I feel! Now I'm just mad that my last doctor did not give me the same drugs! :)

Another thing that I am so grateful for is my wonderful husband. He was a huge help to me the past 2 weeks by picking up the slack here, doing laundry and cooking all of the meals, without one complaint. We are very fortunate that Jeff can work from home a lot or else I do not know what we would have done.

Oh Liz, I'm sorry you get so sick, but I'm so glad that your doc gave you something that makes it better. We go through a lot for these babies but they are worth every sick feeling!

Glad to hear you are feeling better. Haven't been there yet, but I can imagine how crappy it must have been to be sick with a toddler to take care of on top of it. Thank Heaven's indeed for Jeff...what a guy. Hope you feel great the rest of the pregnancy. Can't to see what your new little one's going to look like.

I think I would rather be sick then eat Jeff's cooking. :D

Wow Liz, this is great news. My friend Chelsea was catching up with your blog and wondered what this miracle drug is! She has had 4 children and thrown up everyday of the pregnancy. Now, she wants another but doesn't want to be sick. What is this stuff called?!

I am on Phenergan and Zofran (I am not sure of the right spellings because I am on the generic versions). Just make sure she knows that it doesn't take all of the nausea away, but it does keep you from throwing up all of the time. I don't want her thinking that she can get pregnant and feel perfect :), but it is definitely better!
